Starbucks Via Caramel Iced Coffee Rating (4/10)

In the recent months, I have noticed an extreme spike in the popularity of drink powders, liquids, and all mixes of different sorts. With the convenience, easy preparation, and (usually) cheaper price compared to buying the actual drink themselves, there is no huge surprise in the growth in popularity.

The very first thing I noticed about this new product, was easily the pungency. After ripping off the little tab, a sudden burst of smell made me feel like I was actually in Starbucks. Unfortunately, in the end I felt this product would have done much better as a glade candle, then a drink mix.

The second thing I noticed about this drink mix was the fact that it didn’t quite fit into the niche that it was supposed to create for itself. In my opinion anybody who is drinking something like this (and please tell me if I’m wrong) is looking for somewhat of a change from the usual coffee drink. So when drinking this I was expecting something that didn’t completely, but did make an attempt at masking the coffee flavor (somewhat). The first impression was just that, the masking for flavor, but it was quickly followed by a taste even more bitter than coffee.
